Governor Hogan announced a new executive order mandating the use of face coverings in all retail establishments, food service establishments, and public transportation effective Saturday, April 18th at 7 a.m.

“Face coverings” are defined as coverings that fully cover a person’s nose and mouth, but are not medical-grade masks. Scarves and bandanas are both considered acceptable coverings, as well as homemade cloth masks.
